There’s so much happening in the world right now, and it can be tough to stay positive. What’s really helped me is my SGI Buddhist practice.
Neuroscience backs it up—chanting and repeating positive words can actually rewire the brain, replacing negative thought patterns with more positive ones.

The heart of the practice is chanting *Nam-myoho-renge-kyo*
and reciting parts of the Lotus Sutra each day. It’s a way to bring out courage, wisdom, and compassion from within, so we can face challenges with strength instead of feeling defeated by them.

What inspires me most about SGI is the belief that every single person has unlimited potential and dignity. The practice is about transforming ourselves from the inside out— or changing our karma in this lifetime— because when we shift our own mindset and energy, we can also create positive change in our environment and in the lives of people around us.

For me, it’s been a reminder that even in the hardest times, there’s always a way to tap into hope and keep moving forward.
