*Personal Thank You Post*
We’re finally home from Colorado. Last week we were holding our breath, hoping and praying that my 2-year-old Quinn would survive after being bitten twice by a rattlesnake and airlifted to Children’s Hospital Colorado to receive almost 40 vials of antivenom and a blood transfusion. I had planned to do the flowers for my sister’s wedding and it turned into a drastically different trip. I did end up being able to make my sister’s bouquet in the hospital bathroom and even walk down the aisle as her matron of honor. My sister and her fiancé surprised Quinn at the hospital before their wedding, so she was able to still fulfill her flower girl duties, pulled down an “aisle” at the hospital by her daddy and her two best friends and cousins on either side.
Now, after being home for 4 days, we’re finally beginning to celebrate having her back and process the overwhelming support from each and every one of you who have followed our story, prayed for us, and given so generously.
I’m so deeply moved and grateful beyond words. We only wish we could thank each and every one of you in person. And I’m working on catching up on responding to all your kind DM’s.
Quinn continues healing, both physically and emotionally, but she is getting back to her bubbly self as my little flowering sidekick.
Most of all, we are so thankful that Quinn will be here to welcome her little brother or sister into the world here in about 4 weeks and one day tell the story of how she survived a rattlesnake bite. She is a little warrior, and we are forever grateful to all of you who helped carry her through this fight.
Love,
Colleen
