I’ve spent the last several weeks deep in the dark with very little light. Life was stacking every hardship possible on my shoulders. I crumpled. I threw myself into my work, my motherhood, my hobbies. Everything to avoid the dark. I came out out, randomly - last Tuesday. It was odd, one moment was devoured in midnight skies to the next moment being a sunshine so bright it brought me to actual tears - blue gang check in - and I couldn’t help but find my motivation. Don’t be afraid of the darkness, embrace is for the beautiful creature that it is.

My May TBR is lowballing my abilities - truly. If I can get through these before school is out for the summer, I’ll be Wonder Woman.

You know that feeling when you’re about to DNF a book and you push through one more chapter and that plot twist comes in and suddenly you’re finishing the book at 2 am? Shain Rose had me white knuckle gripping my kindle as I was getting through Between Love and Loathing. Booktok hooked me in on this with a few highlighted passages...kinda worth it.

spent the weekend exploring KC and i remembered why i moved here in the first place. from the WW1 museum, union station for taylor, and dinner at our favorite KC local bar & grill.

with that, spring break is at a end. back to reading. Happy Monday!
