As posted a few years ago, About the Coffee (ATC) closed with no intention of reopening. We still operate our service businesses, Service Call and will continue to do so with no plans for changes in the future -- except we are downsizing and moving out of the building we've occupied for 8 years. Workbench Coffee Labs (our school for coffee techs) will continue to operate (just in a different building than it has been). In order to make the move (remember, downsizing buildings!) we need to move all the remaining inventory from the retail store (ATC).
For sale: all remaining stock from ATC, including Reg Barber tamper handles. Priced to sell as one lot. Email [email protected] for a list of items. Serious inquiries only please.

UPDATE
We know that it is confusing so we wanted to take a moment to better explain -
About the Coffee is 1 of 3 businesses that we own. About the Coffee (or ATC as we call it) is the retail store. We have closed and do not intend to reopen.

Service Call is what started it all. Service Call is the equipment servicing portion of our business and we are OPEN. If you need us to service your espresso/coffee/tea brewing (and grinding) equipment please give us a call or text at 816.529.6063.

Workbench Coffee Labs is the education piece. Workbench is working on reformatting to be able to safely offer classes.

*****If you have visited us in person, you know that we love our building at 3160 Terrace St. However, with the changes outlined above- we do not need all this space! If you are interested in leasing our building -- please let us know. Basically it is 15k square feet on a quiet street with great views of the airshow (and Blue Angels practice runs for about a week prior to the show!) and downtown. Trees line the west side of the parking lot (which is large and just redone last year) providing cover for birds and other wildlife. New roof (I think year before last).

We will be open for liquidation of merchandise June 22-26, 2020. The sale is on hand merchandise only. Items will be 25% off and that is non-negotiable, unless you are buying ALL remaining stock. Hours will be 10-3. No holds- first come first served. All sales are final. No refunds or exchange. Store is permanently closing.

UPDATE: We have decided to close the doors at ATC (our retail store). WE WILL CONTINUE TO DO SERVICE (Service Call). We will be posting how we will proceed with closing out our inventory. We want to thank you all for many years of support, laughter, trusting us on this coffee journey and your friendship. SERVICE CALL IS NOT CLOSING. Reiterating that the service side of our business, SERVICE CALL, is not (NOT) closing.
