Father of the Week: Sharing from Wesley Hamilton (Being a single parent while paralyzed) “I received sole custody of my daughter just a few months before I became paralyzed. Not knowing how I could parent without the use of my legs really hurt my soul. I soon realized that my daughter never saw a disability she only saw her father.

Our bond has grown and she was my motivation to find the strength I never knew I had. With her being by my side through my transformation, she knows what strength, dedication and courage looks like.

What I thought was going to be hard has actually become a simple task.Yes, I will have to deal with the teenage years very soon. But as a parent I am instilling character and leadership qualities into my child which will help her tremendously as she gets older”.
