This is a story that deserves recognition, not to highlight 's impact on the day to day life of our families but to demonstrate the Power of Community.
With Memorial Day fast approaching, this story is a gentle but powerful reminder of how we as a nation can continue to Honor those that paid the ultimate sacrifice by simply being present for those amongst us that need a hand up.
What started as a homeless family needing assistance had turned into one where the community answered the call to keep this young family together. Their infant was taken away by Child Protective Services because they did not have a home or stable job. In less than a month, (while living out of a hotel) this couple secured great jobs and worked very hard to get their baby back. Their story does not end here but we celebrate the decisive victories thus far. was able to advocate on their behalf on so many occasions with the ultimate goal of establishing a transition plan for success. We could not have done any of this without the help of our everyday heroes...
