Did you know ThriftAbility is a part of MRC Industries, Inc.?

Classroom instruction is a key part of MRC’s Workforce Development Program. Before gaining hands-on experience, clients participate in interactive lessons designed to boost their confidence and prepare them for success in real-world settings.

Then they apply their knowledge through paid work opportunities, including at ThriftAbility. This allows participants to gain valuable job experience while honing social skills and developing strong work habits. Through this, clients can achieve their goals, earn income, and actively engage with the community in a supportive, abilities-focused environment.

Here, our Retail Track participants are learning how to carefully sort clothes donations during their classroom sessions. They're checking for holes, stains, pilling, and any other issues with clothing. They're doing amazing work!
