So sad to see Half Mile close, I can still remember dropping off my first batch of stuff before opening! Thanks to the whole team and all the work they’ve put in to uplift creatives! Stop in before Christmas to shop all the local artists!
There’s no easy way to say this, so I’m ripping the bandaid off and letting you know I have made the difficult decision to close my beloved Half Mile Handmade at the end of the year.
Having this space, the support of customers near and far, and working with the most talented makers has been an absolute dream come true in every way. Sadly, it’s not generated enough income to sustain itself and your girl is tired and broke ($).
Every extra ounce of my energy has been devoted to the store for the past 8 1/2 years and I’m looking forward to spending quality time with family and friends in the new year!
I’d love to go out with a bang and send our makers the biggest payouts they’ve ever seen, so I hope you will come out to support us (and especially them) in these final months.
