Confections with Convictions specializes in truffles and confections hand-crafted with Fair Trade Organic Chocolate from original recipes by chocolatier Dale Anderson. We are asked a lot about this beautiful piece of art that sits on a high shelf in our shop. It was created by an Czech-American artist named Ladislav Richard Hanka, who went to elementary school with Dale. This piece of carved and painted plywood depicts a two-tailed snake with a moth, several cacao pods, bananas, passion fruits, and tropical birds. For years it has welcomed all those who have wandered into our shop and it will continue to do so for years to come. ❤️
