Hopefully, I’ll be able to get a dehumidifier soon. Until then, I was advised to keep posting my products instead of going silent, so you’ll be seeing some reposts.

Later on, I’m going to share both times ColeGotCandy was targeted by scammers through Facebook Messenger 😒

What’s really diabolical is the amount of times I’ve actually been scammed in my life. Not almost scammed. SCAMMED. Lost hundreds of dollars more than once.

A couple of those times, my children never even knew because I was too ashamed to tell them.

It’s a hard pill to swallow when life already feels like a scam sometimes, and then somebody comes along and literally scams you 😩

What amazes me is the amount of time these people will invest just to build a quick rapport with you. They’ll seem genuine, supportive, interested in your business, and before you know it, they’re trying to lead you down a rabbit hole.

And to make matters worse, I honestly think these last two attempts were the same person 🤦🏽‍♀️

The lesson? Protect your peace, protect your pockets, and verify EVERYTHING. Especially when you’re a small business owner. These scammers are working overtime.

Thankfully, ColeGotCandy is still standing and still growing 🙏🏽
