Beginner sewing started today!
3 sisters: Mila, Avery and Asher joined Cyndy Martinez in our classroom and each completed a burrito pillowcase!
Beginner sewing continues next Saturday 5/31/25 - you will learn how to confidently use your sewing machine and complete a variety of fun, practical projects along the way. We’ll cover essential machine features, sewing tools, and foundational techniques—perfect for absolute beginners!

Projects will include a simple table runner, a custom pillowcase, a basic zipper pouch, and more.

Classes for Quilting on the Beach Summer Camp in Kailua Kona have just posted! We are doing things a little differently this summer: Quilting on the Beach July 2025 will feature a three day Bring Your Own Project Retreat (July 8 – 10) bookended by classes with guest instructors on July 7 and July 11.

Classes will be held in the Quilt Passions classroom (we’ll provide a shuttle for the parking) and the Bring Your Own Project event will be held off-site with plenty of room to set up your machine, etc., stitch until the wee hours, and then come back the next day for more.

Highlights for this event include afternoon tea and cookies, two make and takes, games and prizes, and a Show and Tell Dinner. We hope that you can join us!
