First off — thank you for reading this.
As we pass our 10th year, we’re thinking a lot about how to grow. I’m still at the helm here, and thanks to a great team — and customers like you — we’re growing together.
Even if we haven’t met, I’m writing to you like a friend — because that’s how this company started: with the support of friends in the industry. If you work on a sportfish or center console boat, or you own one, you’re our people. That’s who we focus on. Many of you might be on something else — from yachts to flats boats and everything in between — and if we can help you too, all the better. But our focus remains on the best marine supplies and accessories for sportfish and center consoles.
Truth is, growth can be tricky these days with the noise of social media and endless marketing emails. We’ve tried working with marketing companies and checking all the “should-do” boxes. But sometimes, it just doesn’t feel right.
So I’m still here, conveying our message and trying to keep things simple — sticking to what we’re good at. Yes, you’ll get emails from us and probably some ads. Not too many and hopefully they’re useful, and maybe even something you look forward to in your crowded inbox and feed. We take inspiration from brands that feel real to us — and we want to be one of those for you.
Our goal is to stay true to the small-brand feel even as we grow. That means being authentic, keeping the marketing straightforward, providing great service, offering quality products, and only sending relevant info.
If you haven’t been to our site in a while, please at least give it a look. Maybe you’ll see something you need — or at least keep us in mind when you do. And if there’s anything we can do better, I’d truly like to hear it.
