For the past 23 years we have been running the Alaska Fly Fishing Goods fly shop, and fishing every chance we get. Just came out with their king numbers for the year and it looks like we might be in for another great run!

To get the stoke up we will be tying one of our favorite easy to cast swinging flies for kings, the Trailer Trash. This fly is easy to tie and fun to fish. Join us this Wednesday the 11th to learn how to tie these rad flies. This weeks session is free. Dont mis out, we only have a few more tying nights left for the year.

We have 4 spots left in our beginner fly tying class next week. This class is from 6 - 8:30ish on Monday Feb. 9th and Thursday Feb. 12th. All tools and materials are provided and you will come away with a selection of top Alaska patterns tied by YOU!

Call the shop or swing in to sign up. This will be the only fly tying class of the year.

Its Febuary and to kick it off we are tying Signature Intruders tonight. This pattern is a little more complex so we will shoot for 2-3. The cost tonight is $25 and we will start at 6PM.

Weekly tying is back on tonight Wednesday Jan. 28th with the Wildthing, one of our most popular king, coho and steelhead patterns. Bring your tools and vises if you have them and we will see you at 6.

What a difference a few days makes! The shop is back to our regularly scheduled flaky hours, open M-F from 11-2.
Wednesday tying is back on starting tomorrow. Free epoxy flies is what we are tying. Some experience recommended.

We are closing early and will remain closed tomorrow for snow removal.

Fingers crossed that we dont get as much as we did after Christmas. Due to snow issues at home we are going to stay closed through mid week with Thursday being our target for flaky fall hours.

Our entryway is at its limit with snowload. With more on the way Monday we will not be in the shop from 11-2 Monday the 5th. Will post updates Monday for our schedule next week when we see how things shake out.

Of other note, fly tying is cancelled on January 7th (next week). Dolly Llamas will have to wait for another time. Right now lets just focus on getting through this winter!

Wednesday tying nights are done for 2025! Dolly Llamas will start our 2026 off right on January 7th @ 6PM.

We are open 5 more days and will close a little early on Christmas Eve. Swing on by for you last minute gifts.
