Saw a couple boys walking to the fishing hole by the house. Gave them a little fishing rod upgrade. Not everything is about profit. We gotta give back when we can. Whether it's sponsoring youth and veterans or waving a few kids onto the driveway to look in the garage and pick a new rod. Little givebacks add up and change the culture of our communities.

I hope everyone enjoys this upcoming Memorial Day weekend. For Uncle Flathead the memories will surround his grandfather whom without he'd have never developed his passion for fishing and making memories.

This might be one of the weirdest things ever pulled out of a fish. Two Indiana anglers caught a blue catfish on the Ohio River near Lawrenceburg, noticed its stomach felt unusually hard, and when they cut it open at home, they found a foam ball, part of another fish, and an adult novelty item inside. That’s the kind of story that reminds you fish will eat just about anything, and also why some fishing photos make you look twice before you figure out what in the world you’re even looking at. Hold on a second. I have an idea for a new lure!

We have confirmed the first invasive black carp in Oklahoma. These invasive fish are a major threat to our native mussels and fish.

Anyone who catches a fish they believe is a black carp should humanely dispatch the fish, keep it on ice and report it to fisheries staff.

Black carp look similar to native fish, and so anglers are encouraged to know the difference before taking any action.

It's that time of year again, the ice is coming off and fish are hungry! Rods shipped today to Bluffton Bait & Tackle in Alabama and we had a Great phone call with Anchor Inn Bait & Tackle in Iowa and will have rods headed that way soon! We're curious how far have our rods traveled? Feel free to post pictures of you and your catch along with the state you’re in!
