Steve's Trading Post Steve's Trading Post is located at 4324 South Main St. in Joplin, MO. We are proud to have the area's largest showroom of new and used fi****ms!

In 1979, Steve Richards started his first store in a rented garage at the corner of 22nd and Main St. in Joplin, Missouri. One year later, he purchased property just 22 blocks south at 44th and Main St.. There, Steve opened the doors of the small two bedroom home that stood there and hung up a sign that read "Steve’s Trading Post." Today, more than 3 decades later, there are still some of those or

iginal customers that will come in to say "hello" and remind him of the time they first went into that little house/store. All he had were a couple of Smith & Wessons, R***rs, and a few coins. With the help of those original customers and all those that have walked through the doors, Steve’s Trading Post has continued to grow while still that small store "feel." Customers can now find fi****ms from major manufacturers like Smith and Wesson, R***r, C**t, Browning, Weatherby, Re*****on, Wi******er, G***k, Beretta, Benelli, Sig Sauer, Daniel Defense, STI, and Kimber as well as gun powders, reloading supplies, ammunition, gun safes, silver coins, gold coins, and so much more. Thank you to all that have made this journey possible and we look forward to serving the Joplin community for years to come!
