As opening day gets closer, I've been looking ahead and reaching out to other small business owners in our community about future collaborations, workshops, girls' nights, and fun events.
Today I finally made it over to RejuveNate - Plants & Wellness LLC and met Ashley. Her shop is a dream💚 The second I walked in, I felt at home. It is 100% my vibe and I could have spent hours there. She and I chatted for a bit and I look forward to having a fun event with her in the fall!
I came home with a few beautiful plants that will be finding their new homes inside the shop.
I've always joked that I have a black thumb. 😂 Plants and I have not exactly had a successful relationship over the years. But something about creating this space has inspired me to learn. So here's hoping these little beauties survive and thrive right along with the shop!
I also wanted to take a moment to say thank you. The support, encouragement, comments, messages, and excitement you've shown throughout this journey have meant more than I can put into words. The posts that get the most interaction are usually the ones where I share what's happening behind the scenes, and I love that because this shop was never just about products—it's about connection, community, and creating a place where people feel welcome.
That said... while I'm sharing the story, I'm also building a business. 😅 Startup costs, inventory, fixtures, supplies, rent, utilities, and all the little things add up quickly. I've worked hard to furnish and create this space using Facebook Marketplace finds, donations, and lots of creativity, but at the end of the day, every purchase truly helps keep this dream moving forward.
