Many years ago, I worked in retail management and had the opportunity to lead many different stores—but never one of my own. When I opened Charlie Rae’s, one of my biggest concerns wasn’t inventory, sales, or decorating the store. It was finding a team that would love this place as much as I do.
Anyone who has worked in retail knows how challenging it can be to find and keep great people. Just when someone is trained and everything is clicking, they often move on. Because of that, I made it a priority from day one to create a workplace where we could work hard, laugh often, support one another, and genuinely enjoy coming to work.
What I didn’t realize was that I would be blessed with a team this incredible.
These women are so much more than employees. They care deeply about our customers, take pride in this store, and consistently go above and beyond in ways that often go unseen. They celebrate the wins, help carry the hard days, and make Charlie Rae’s feel like home for everyone who walks through our doors.
The truth is, they deserve far more than a picture on social media. They are one of the greatest gifts this business has given me and one of the very best teams a store owner could ever hope for.
Thank you, girls, for your hard work, your loyalty, your kindness, your laughter, and for loving Charlie Rae’s so well. You make this place special, and you make me love what I do every single day. ( we are missing Jackie) ❤️
