Happy Friday! 💫 🎉 😎 June is just around the corner and we've got a calendar chockfull of fun events. Next Tuesday, June 2nd, we have our monthly "Books & Brews" book club at Johnson City Brewing Company's Walnut Taproom at 6:30pm where we'll be discussing "Natural Beauty" by Ling Ling Huang.

We're also quite excited to celebrate the Summer Solstice in collaboration with Shakti in the Mountains on June 20th. The event will feature recipes from Lola Milholland's memoir "Group Living" and will focus on discussion around intentional community. This is a ticketed event with limited seating, so please visit Shakti's page to reserve your spot!

June is also Pride Month, and we'll be celebrating both with our usual q***r book club meet up on Thursday the 25th and Rainbowfest on Saturday the 27th! Keep an eye out for updates.

As an indie bookstore in Appalachia, we cannot abide laws that threaten to take away our ability to share the stories of our people and communities, which are as diverse as the natural world of mountains and hollers that we call home.

We stand alongside over 100 grassroots and national advocacy organizations, publishers, booksellers, parent groups, and professional associations in opposition to H.R. 7661.
