The Crab Apples are so nice this year. Now, the tricky part is leaving them til they are nice & ripe but harvesting them before the crows notice☺️

It's been a while since I posted & I see that some of you have visited my page this past month. My Tea Shop is still closed due to the fact that my business is in our home & our son, who lives with us is high risk. Actually, being in our 70's puts both my husband & I in that category as well. Vermont's COVID regulation also says that only members of the same household can gather or eat together in a public space. So, I am taking it one day at a time. I did have a Front Porch Christmas sale the first weekend of December. It was a sunny, though cold day. However, many dear customers & friends stopped by to shop. I had on display seasonal gift items from the shop as well as the confections I normally sell at the local Christmas Craft Fair. Everyone was delighted to be able to purchase their favorite sweet treats of peanut brittle, peppermint bark, gingerbread cookies, butter toffee popcorn & cranberry chutney. I was delighted to connect, tho socially distanced, with many dear friends. Below are a few photos of Christmas 2020 at Nellie Mays. I will try to be more faithful with postings....💞

I realize I have not posted anything regarding Nellie Mays during this very difficult time. As a non essential business, I have been closed to the public for two months. Even as businesses are allowed to re open, I will be taking my time as we have someone who is high risk living with us. As much as I would love to start hosting Tea Parties again, the safety & health of our family takes first priority. I do pray that you & those you love are all well. I look forward to the day when I can invite you into our home & set the Tea table once again.

After much consideration & prompting from friends, I have decided to increase the cost of a Nellie May's Tea Party from $15 to $20 per person. I have been charging the same price for 16 years now & it's time. Decisions like this are always hard for me, because I love what I do & never take my time into consideration. In addition, with the increased cost of everything from baking ingredients to merchandise, it is necessary. I will continue to put my heart into creating an experience that will delight your senses. So, with that said, I simply invite you & your friends to take a "step back in time" at Nellie Mays. I promise you will not be disappointed...
