It is truly a wonderful Wednesday here at The Refindary Vintage Market 🥰. We visited with many new folks yesterday who were new to the area and the shop. It is always amazing to learn where our visitors are from and how they ended up walking through our old screen door. Yesterday, our first time visitors they came from as far away as Las Vegas and Indiana, and as close as Hartsgrove. I love our little shop, I never know who I'll meet or what conversations I'll be lucky enough to have in just one day. ♥️

🎡 It’s FAIR WEEK in Ashtabula County!

The Ashtabula County Fair kicks off TODAY, and you know what that means… fair food, animals, exhibits, rides, and one of those weeks that just feels like summer in Ashtabula County. ❤️

If you’re headed to the fairgrounds today, make a little extra time for a treasure hunt while you’re in Jefferson. 👀

We’ve been busy changing things up around The Refindary, bringing out some hints of Fall and, of course, filling the shop with all those vintage, antique, primitive and just-plain-cool finds you never know you need until you spot them.

Stop in, wander awhile, then go eat something deep fried for us. 😂

🍂𝙊𝙠𝙖𝙮…𝙄 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙁𝙖𝙡𝙡.

Things have been moving around The Refindary lately - displays are changing, a few little spots of Fall are starting to show up, and we’ve been slowly working our way through the shop getting ready for the season.

Which means it’s time to put this one on the calendar:
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞
𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 5 | 10 𝐀𝐌–4 𝐏𝐌

Between now & then, we’ll be fluffing, moving, restocking and adding all those warm, collected fall touches I love - old wood, baskets, apples, crocks, leaves and plenty of vintage treasures mixed in along the way.

And with the 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐤𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, it really does feel like we’re starting to turn that corner toward late summer and fall around here.

But you don’t have to wait until September 5 to come see what’s changing.
𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 12–3, and there’s plenty to wander through right now.

Come take a look, dig around a little and see what you find. You know how it goes around here…it’s not always about the needs. 😉

🍂 Do I see peeps of Fall? 👀

It may still be August, but little touches of Fall are starting to sneak into The Refindary... and you know what that means.

Our Fall Open House is coming!

We’re already working on the Fall Reset, and over the next few weeks you’ll start seeing more warm woods, autumn color, vintage finds and all those cozy little things that make Fall so good.

Oh look at this pretty piece 😍 that Krazy Crow Primitives is featuring in their booth. I really like the idea of this on the porch right now for the rest of summer and I can just imagine it with a pitcher of lemonade and cookies. Okay, I haven't had breakfast yet, so I am a bit hungry. 😁 I also can see this transitioning nicely into Fall with all the pretty oranges, reds and browns, with mums around the base. Can you see it? How would you dress this piece if it was on your porch? Let's hear your ideas.

This antique door and chippy table were made into a potting table ( great for your porch ) It could also be a hall tree . It is now 20% off of $79 and is available in my booth~ Heavy duty!

We love when our vendors come in for a little refresh in their spaces. I never know what goodies they have found out in the "wilds" and what they are willing to part with in their booths! 😆. If you have not had a chance to check out this mother and daughter duo, be sure to make your way upstairs to the big room and spend some time in the amazing space packed full of vintage goodness! The Craft Snob group love what they do🥰. It is fun to see their excitement when they are bringing in their new treasures.

I love a slow and relaxed Sunday in the shop and today feels like that kind of day. Perfect restful day to skip yard work and go explore your favorite vintage shops.
