Jill saw this at the River City Habitat for Humanity ReStore... and had thoughts.

What came back to the shop was a very modern mid-century style brown veneered dresser with simple hardware. What's headed to its next home is finished with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Pure White and Athenian Black Satin Paint, detailing with Modern Gold Metallic paint for the hardware accents, and honestly, we're a charmed with the result.

A little change for this round of Helping Hands for Habitat: instead of going back to the ReStore floor, this piece is getting a moment in our Southbank window before it sells. Found at the ReStore, reimagined here, with proceeds benefiting River City Habitat for Humanity.

Jill found another round of Habitat Hits at the ReStore, and today's the day to go see them in person, doors are open until 5 PM.

Having trouble finding the right words for this Summer heat? Same. But these root vegetables, made by talented fiber artist Kathy Riggs, didn’t need words, just vibes and a face that tells it all.

We feel it, too, little guys. Thanks for reminding us that Autumn is a little over 40 days away. Come shop in the store to get a whiff of whimsical autumn to hold you over!

If you didn’t know… Kathy is passionate about creating from scratch, spinning her own yarn and weaving intricate designs on her floor loom and other unique looms. When she’s not at the loom, you’ll find her needle-felting adorable critters or transforming raw fibers into beautiful bowls and decorative art through soaping and agitation. You can find her handmade creations in the shop!
