🌳 THE STORY BEHIND LAUREL OAK APPAREL 🌳

Recently, someone asked me how the “Laurel Oak Retriever” brand was going. Honestly, the question caught me a little off guard. It got me thinking that maybe not everyone knows the story behind the name or how Laurel Oak Apparel came to be.

So, I thought I’d take a minute to share a little history.

The name Laurel Oak actually started about 16 years ago.

A friend of ours was helping us spitball names, trying to come up with something that felt right. Our roots run deep in Laurel Hill, Florida, and after some thinking, our friend came up with Laurel Oak Retrievers.

It was perfect.

From that day forward, all of our dogs have been registered with the Laurel Oak name.

About 10 years ago, I got into photography after realizing something pretty simple… I didn’t have nearly enough pictures of my dogs. What started as a way to capture memories quickly became something much bigger.

My dogs became a huge part of that journey.

They inspired me to look at photography differently, to capture the personalities, the moments, the places, and the things that make these animals so special. Eventually, that passion turned into the idea of creating unique apparel designs based on those photographs and memories.

And that’s where Laurel Oak Apparel came from.

Our designs aren’t limited to the dogs of Laurel Oak Retrievers. They include different breeds, different animals, outdoor scenes, and the moments that come with the lifestyle we love.

But the name Laurel Oak will always have a special meaning.

It is a symbol of where we started, the dogs that started it all, the memories we’ve made, and the appreciation we have for the animals that have been such a big part of our journey.

And today, Laurel Oak means more than just the dogs that started the name.

When you represent the Laurel Oak name, you’re not just representing Laurel Oak Retrievers.

You’re representing a legacy of memories created with canines of all kinds.

16 years later, the name is still going strong.

This isn’t just a name on a shirt.

It’s a piece of our story — and now, it’s a legacy for all canines.
