Good Morning Everyone,

I saw this technique done by Patty Bennett and wanted to share it with my class. This is an Eclipse Technique. We stamped the big flower from the 170053 Bundled Savings SWEETLY SENTIMENTAL BUNDLE (ENGLISH) and used all the coordinating stamps to fill in the colors in this 2 stepped stamping technique. Hope did I get 2 different colors on the flowers you ask? I inked up the flower stamp with 147094 DAFFODIL DELIGHT CLASSIC STAMPIN' PAD and then took a sponge dabber and dapped a little 147101 CALYPSO CORAL CLASSIC STAMPIN' PAD on some of the edges. I like how that turned out. For the leaves, I inked up the stamps with 147095 GRANNY APPLE GREEN CLASSIC STAMPIN' PAD and then colored in the white areas with 161682 LEMON LIME TWIST STAMPIN’ BLENDS COMBO PACK. Do you like that technique? What makes this an Eclipse Technique is cutting the center of the flower out using the 170064 FLOURISH & FRAMES HOT FOIL DIES and then adding some black on the edges of the cut out with 154843 BASIC BLACK STAMPIN' BLENDS COMBO PACK. Then I also added black on the outside edge of the matt as well. I used the sentiments from the Sweetly Sentimental after I Hot Foil them using the 170009
STAMPIN' HOT FOIL SYSTEM NA & CRAFT CLASS with 170066 GOLD STAMPIN' HOT FOIL ROLLS on 122925 Sale CALYPSO CORAL 8-1/2" X 11" CARDSTOCK.

Good Evening Everyone,

I know, I am posting at night instead of the morning. Here is the last card we made last week using the Hot Foil System. I really like this one. I used 2 different Hot Foil Bundles - 170065 Bundled Savings BUTTERFLY FLIGHT BUNDLE and the 170049 Bundled Savings ECHOES OF DETAIL BUNDLE. For the sentiment, we used the 168150 BOTANICAL EXPRESSIONS PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET (ENGLISH). In the Butterfly Flight Bundle, it has the Hot Foil Die, the die to cut the butterflies out and it has a set of Masks to help to color the butterflies. The color combinations are endless for what you can do. The colors we used on the butterflies were 161663 AZURE AFTERNOON CLASSIC STAMPIN' PAD on the 1st 2 masks and the 3rd mask used 147138 BLUEBERRY BUSHEL CLASSIC STAMPIN' PAD.

Here is the next card we made using the Hot Foil System. Isn't this card so elegant looking? We used 2 different bundles for this card. We used 170057 Bundled Savings BOTANICAL GLOW BUNDLE and the 170042 CLASSIC GREETINGS HOT FOIL DIES. I stamped the leaves 1st with 147102 SOFT SEA FOAM CLASSIC STAMPIN' PAD and then used the die to Hot Foil using the 170068 LIGHT PINK STAMPIN' HOT FOIL ROLLS and foiled over the top. Good Morning Everyone,

Well, here it is!! My 1st card made with the New Hot Foil System! Isn't it beautiful? This large background is actually made using the 170041 GARDEN SILHOUETTE HOT FOIL DIE. Take a closer look at this die. It has a matte look to it and is very smooth. This die has been so popular it will be back in stock the week of Aug 3rd. Make sure you enter your email on this product page and SU will send you an email when it is back in stock. The question was asked "What do you do with the left-over foil when you make that 1st card?" You can make another card using the negative of the foil used on your 1st card. That is what I did on the 2nd card. Take a closer look. The image is the opposite of the 1st card. Pretty cool. Plus, it has a bit of a distressed look and I love that. So make sure you save your scraps and use them on future cards. Stampin' Up! suggests using Two-Tone Cardstock or White Willow when foiling because it is smoother than regular mill cardstock. I used 150880
PRETTY PEACOCK 8-1/2" X 11" CARDSTOCK and it worked fine for me. The trick is making sure you run the Hot Foil platform through the Cut & Emboss Machine very slowly, so the foil has a chance to adhere to the cardstock. So, what do you think? Talk about WOW Cards!!
