It's just been reported that actress Hayden Panettiere known for her role on the NBC show Heroes has passed at the age of 36. I was fortunate enough to have met her at the height of her Fame on Heroes. Came across as a very pleasant person and was always happy to talk about her role as Claire the cheerleader on the TV show

Magic the Gathering is releasing a new set of cards on August 7th and 8th stop down to Chautauqua Comics and participate in our pre-release event. We're stopping in and pick up one of our take-home pre-release kits which includes eight packs of the new set of cards. And also purchase the new Hobbit set of cards.

New comic book day tomorrow stop in at Chautauqua Comics and pick up a facsimile copy of Showcase #4. This comic was originally came out in 1956 is considered the first comic book of the Silver age of comics. From 1938 to 1955 the Golden Age of comics which consisted primarily of DC Comics characters as well as timely characters. This was the very first character to change from the classic look of the Flash with the helmets that represented the World War I infantryman. It was shortly after this that Green Lantern Wonder Woman and others all changed what they look like in comics which represented the Silver age of comics.

Chautauqua Comics will be open on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Come get out of the heat or rain and shop with us in our air conditioned store . Or play in our air conditioned game room. We will be open for those who interested in playing Magic the Gathering, Pokemon or Chess.
