“…and just like that the search has concluded and we are happy to report that there is, in fact, a successful search and rescue here tonight.” My inner child is jumping up and down, for real. Ever since I was 12 or 13, I have wanted “the big gold belt”. For us millenials, you can keep your crumrine and let us enjoy our AFX in glorious all gold glory. The Rock, Booker T, Scott Steiner…. End stage terminal WCW and INVASION era WWF, THAT is our time. Classic Shields capped off a decade of trying to find the perfect recreation of the gold beast that Scott Steiner commissioned to replace the crumrine, which he sold for either 10 or 100k depending on who you ask. I say, thank god for Steiner’s greed because otherwise we probably never get an all gold version. I hope everyone gets the opportunity to have a “new belt day” like I just did, where you open up the box and instead of seeing a new piece for the collection you see the holy grail starring back at you like your dog does after being at work all day. Truly, the one I been waiting for. Thank you to all of you for riding out the journey with me. I’m not leaving but I am definitely pulling back on the hunt. For the first time in awhile, I truly am GOOD. 🤝🙏🏻🤘🏻 last note; if anyone would like to get plugged in with the brother’s at CS feel free to hit me up (as always). My door is always open.

A little collection status update as of April 2026. I wanted to document a representation of what I believe will be the core of my permanent inventory. This isn’t everything - I am in the middle of my annual Spring move to the Summer spot. But recently I got the good news from my very talented friends at .shields that my order was completed and being placed on leather. The belt I ordered from them is the belt that got me into this game in the first place. While I always thought the Winged Eagle and Big Eagle were beautiful on tv, it wasn’t until I saw Hollywood Hogan carrying around his de-faced big gold that I ever thought “I will buy one of those when I get older”. On pre-HD tv it always came off as all gold to me, not dual plated as I would later learn. That BIG GOLD BELT was hypnotic for a 11 or 12 year old CM. Then when I got older and bought a few belts I seemingly had no problem finding reps of the big gold yet as I received each one (fandu luxe, countless boots, wweshop’s, groovy g etc etc) they would “hit” initially for me but as days became weeks and I scrutinized a bit more… they all started to wither under my heavy scrutinization. Finally this year I asked myself why I was messing around? I have the perfect version of every belt I ever wanted EXCEPT my GOAT. It was time to pull the trigger… preview in last few slides. Soon, it will arrive and perhaps with it will be the closure that I suspect is inevitable. Stay blessed - CM

HOT TAKE: CM Punk’s incredible title run in conjunction with another tepid, ice cold reign over on Smackdown from “kEw BeE OnE” CoCo Rho has been the true transition of the WHC from the #2 belt to the PREMIERE World Heavyweight Prize in . The booking of Punk and Roman as the night 2 Main Event had me feeling this way and now that Roman Reigns just confirmed he’s planning to stop being part-time and is committed to being around “all summer” as champ, it’s pretty clear what championship will be the focal point for creative. The last time the WHC was treated and propped up as the top title was during Triple H’s reign of terror in the early 2000’s. Am I crazy or am I on the money? LMK
