This Saturday, December 14, looks to b a wash out at our Christmas tree farm based on rain predictations of 100% at 9:00 AM and staying in the 90’s through noon. If this forecast holds (high probility it will) we will be closed all day this Saturday as the trees will be soaked.

Therefore, those that were planning to come on Saturday need to reschedule. How about tomorrow, Friday afternoon, 1:00 to dark? Please call for an appointment. Otherwise, Cuge and I will go duck hunting on Friday, ahead of Saturday’s rain.

We had our Christmas tree farm scheduled open for the first two weekends following Thanksgiving, closing last Sunday, December 8. However, the rain actually closed it last Sunday, a day early. We had excellent weather the first three days open this year!

I will have the farm open this Wednesday afternoon and Saturday afternoon and may b able to meet you at another time as I may be at the farm working. Call for an more information or for an appointment interested.

FYI: We have tall Virgina Pine up to 9 feet and a few taller. Our Leland Cypress are short, not more than 6 1/2 feet tall.

The weather forecast for Saturday, Dec. 7, is excellent. However, Sunday, the 8th, our last planned day open, has a 90% chance of rain and most likely will b closed. Therefore, do not plan on Sunday without first calling 501 516-1048 that morning. We will not open if the trees are wet with no chance of drying out under cloudy skies.

I will b at the farm tomorrow (Friday) and possibility 1 or 2 days the following week so you can call for an appointment if this Sat. is a conflict for you.

We opened the Christmas tree farm for the 41st sales season this past Saturday, November 30, 2024. We are open only on week ends, starting at 10 o’clock on Saturday mornings and closing at 5:00. On Sundays we open at 1:00 in the afternoon and close at 5:00. This past weekend both mornings started quite cold, but morphed to sunny, short sleeved weather by mid-afternoon. That’s our Arkansas weather for you!

We are open just two weekends this year (2024) so will be closing on Sunday, December 8. If you have any questions call or text. Ella’s cell phone is 501-516-1048.

Both cultivars of Lealand Cypress are shorter in height than usual this year, averaging less than 7 feet. There were only a few that made it to 8 or 8 1/2 feet this year because of over-harvesting in past.

Fortunately, we have good height in the Virginia Pine this year and the foliage on the pine is the best we have ever had on the farm in the 41 years of ownership. Actually our late summer drought didn’t have a major negative effect on our trees. So, come and visit and see! We will have a cup of hot spiced tea ready for you. Also, our little singing Christmas tree is loaded with an assortment of candy canes for all.

2024 Season: We are open Saturdays and Sundays, November 30-December 1 and December 7-8. Hours on Saturdays are 10 until dark (approx. 5:00 p.m.) and Sundays 1:00 p.m. until dark. We have plenty of good trees--Virginia Pine and Leyland Cypress--at reasonable prices.

Holiday Forest Christmas Tree Farm will open Saturday, November 25 at 10:00 a.m. We hope to see you there. We're open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until dark and on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. until dark. We will close at the end of business on December 17.
