This Saturday you can find me at the farm!
🍎🍎THE 2021 EASTERN NC APPLE FEST AT THE FARM 🍎🍎
Here are some Q&A's that will hopefully make your day at the farm a good one.
1.) GATES OPEN AT 2pm!!!! Please do not get angry at us if we don't open at 1pm or 1:30pm. We truly are working right up to the very last minute.
2.) PARKING:
Parking is a $1 donation and 100% of these funds will go to a Marine Corps Unit to raise funds for family activities.
3.) ENTRANCE:
$5/pp (2 and under are free).

*** NO advanced tickets so please do not be scammed by anyone trying to sell them.
4.) CASH/CREDIT/DEBIT:
Most all Vendors, Food Trucks and Shops take both cash and Debit/Credit and that includes the Ticket Booth, Beer Barn and Wine Shop. PLEASE bring smaller bills, if possible. There are two ATM's on site - one just outside the ticket booth area and another by the Beer Barn Stage.
5.) BRING YOUR OWN CHIARS:
Although we do have a good amount of seating, you are welcome to bring your own chairs and if you plan on staying there all day, you are welcome to bring your own small pop-up tent. Please ask at the Beer Barn where to put up your tent and make sure you bring stakes and something to pound them into the ground, i.e. hammer, etc.
6.) FIRE PITS:
We are still determining if we will have fire pits this Saturday. The crowd on hand at the last event presented an issue with safety issues we were concerned with. IF we do, I will post the Fire-Pit Reservation Link by tomorrow.
7.) PORTA POTTIES:
Porta Potties and a handwashing station are located behind the Beer Barn near the Kids Area.
8.) ***NEW*** we have a new Batting Cage and Inflatable Skateboard "Half-Pipe". These are $3/pp. All children MUST be at least 10-yrs old to participate in these activities or be accompanied by a parent/adult. There will be a ticket booth near these features. A parent/guardian will have to sign a disclosure prior to using these two activities.
** The Jump Pad and Super Slide are included with the entrance fee.
9.) PETS:
Pets are welcome on leashes and you MUST bring your own p**p clean up bags. PLEASE, if you know your pet does not do well among crowds or among other dogs, this is NOT the time to bring them. We are starting to have issues and we truly hate to have to put an end to allowing pets and punish everyone. Please be considerate of guests and other pet owners.
10.) TRASH!
ALL large white receptacles are for ALL trash. Please note: the parking lot is NOT a trash receptacle. Be nice.
11.) FOOD TRUCKS:

🎃 Pumpkin-Pie Funnel Cakes 🥓 Maple Bacon Funnel Cake and 🍪Cookies 'n Cream Funnel Cakes + Deep Fried Caramel Apple Hand Pies, Deep Fried Oreos and APPLE FRITTERS!!!! Don't forget to try the Apple-Cider Lemonade, too.
12.) VENDORS AND SHOPS:

***The Happpy Goat Market Shop: come in for some yummy fresh baked Amish Breads and Rustic Italian breads. croissants, NC Glass Bottled Milks, NC Goat Cheese and NC Ashe County Cheese (we have cheese curds back in stock!), *** NEW*** Venison and Wild Boar (and more) Sausage Sticks and Jerky, Pork King Chiccarones, Cackalackey Peanuts and Cheerwine BBQ Sauce, Carolina Kettle Chips and Humphrey Farm's Signature line of Jams, Salsas, Pickles, BBQ Sauces and Hot Sauces and more. Come in and try the Spiced Apple Cider, Apple Butter, Pecan-Cinnamon Apple Jam and more.
*** Farmhouse Creamery and Toy Store: several varieties of Ice Creams + Dippin' Dots and fun Kid's Toy.
*** The Fat Hen Farm Store: Farmhouse Decor, Candles, Farm CBD Products, Mugs, Crystals, Oils and Sage Sticks.
13.) BEER BARN/WINE SHOP:
The Beer Barn will be serving iced cold beers and our
house-made APPLE-CIDER SANGRIA + we have Soda, Water, Sweet Tea and Lemonade. We will also have our standard Bar foods: Chips, Skins, Giant Pickles, Pickled Eggs and Sausages and Pickled Pigs Feet.
The Wine Shop sells IPA's and Craft Beers (many from NC) as well as Wine by the Glass, Wine by the Bottle (retail only cannot be consumed on site) and our Wine Slushie flavor is APPLE-TINI.
You must be 21-yrs old to purchase alcoholic products and have an Over 21-Wristband.
14.) KIDS ACTIVITIES:
The following is included with the entrance fee: Cow Train Rides and Hay Rides (look for the NEW signs to show where to line up!); Playground/Horse Swings; Duck Race; Dirt Mountain, Giant Jenga, Checkers, Co****le, Jump Pad, Super Slide, Petting Zoo and Pumpkin Patch.
** Batting Cage is $3/pp and Skateboard "Half-Pipe" is $3/pp.
***Pony Cart and Horse Rides are $5/pp operated by a 3rd Vendor.
*** Gellyball (like paint ball but no ouchies) will be available for $20/unlimited operated by a 3rd party vendor.
**** PARENTS: YOU are responsible for your children at ALL times. Please do not leave children unattended.
15.) PIE EATING CONTEST:
You MUST be at least 16-yrs old to sign up. TWO heats, one winner per heat. This takes place at 3:30 at the Beer Barn Stage, Sign up with the DJ. FCFS
16.) LIVE MUSIC/KAREOKE/LINE DANCING:
Ed Prophet comes back to the farm with his much anticipated performance. He will perform live under the Beer Barn Stage.
DJ Jerry A. White will spin some of your favorites both before and after the LIVE Music, He will take Karaoke and Line Dancing requests at ANY time.
17.) WRISTBANDS:
You will be given a wristband upon entrance and as long as you are wearing this, you may come and go at any time.
18.) BAGS/COOLERS/OUTSIDE FOODS:
Absolutely NO outside food or drinks or coolers. NO Exceptions. No Backbags or Large Bags. Diaper bags are permitted. All bags are subject to inspection by security. NO alcohol is to be taken outside of festival grounds.
19.) LOST AND FOUND/INJURIES:
Please turn in any lost or found objects to the DJ, he will make an announcement and every attempt will be made to find the owner. Humphrey Farm will hold all objects not claimed. The Beer Barn has a First Aid Kit. Note: we are not allowed to give out any medications such as aspirin, etc.
20.) APPLES:
Mr. Alan Pickett, a local farmer, will have his locally grown apples ,as well as, Mountain Apples for sale. Some of the varieties will include: Gayla, Golden Deliscious, McIntosh and Red Delicious. He will be selling them by the pound, by the bag and will have a few bushels for sale, also.
Everyone at Humphrey Farm wants you to have a wonderful and memory-making day. We will have our Fall Picture Opps (***check out our new GIANT CHAIR!!), and we still have a few pumpkins for the pumpkin patch. To help you easily find all of the "Apple" Products - look for the 🍎 Signs posted around the farm.
