Lossy is a perfect addition to this setup. So many amazing tones are achieved with it… I love the ability to push/subdue harmonics with the filter.

This setup right here is tone Nirvana!

For this setup, the H90 is being used as a mixer to mix down the pedals in its loop with no effects added. Loop: CBA Onward -> CBA Lost & Found -> CBA Lossy

P.s.: don’t mind my impromptu test bed. It worked wonderfully!!

This board has come to us since its owner acquired it second hand. First, it came to swap a expression to a dual DVP5 setup, custom shields by Gear by CEBA and some custom programming.

Then, to address our customer’s need for a bit “extra”, we removed one of the DVP5s and added the Boost. This boost is incredibly clean, while providing great tone, which makes it usable anywhere in the chain. We programmed it in an FX Loop post-amp and prior to the cab, to provide ample head room without increased gain.

This last time, the board came to us to convert it to run on battery power, and incorporate a G50 Wireless System. To accomplish this without switching out the Metro 20 for something bigger, took a bit of rearranging, and replacing the DVP5 for a DVP4.

In the end, I’m quite happy with the results. We have tested the capabilities of the power bank, and from a 100% charge at start, after 4 hours on, it still had 16% charge running the QC, G50 wireless and Shnobel Tone Boost. Therefore, we are confident our client will be able to use this board in any context without concerns of running out of juice…

Add a good booster and you can recoup a lot of that lost gain, tone, and reactive interplay between you and your lovely tube amp. Suddenly the “touch” is back.
