While growing up you dream of many things you'll do as an adult and I never expected to be a worm farmer! My eldest and I started this year with mealworms and have recently added red wiggler composting worms. Soon I'll be putting the business page together. No the Madhouse isn't going away and this is actually going to be good practice for multitasking.

The peppers are popping!! All plants have flowers and some are starting to produce. The apocalypse scorpion is going crazy with peppers!! Saddest part of my jungle walk was seeing the one brussel sprout plant stripped bare. Sadly I don't think it will survive and hopefully the other one will.

Today while puttering in the garden we determined it is my 3rd season! Y'all I was shocked cuz that time has flown by. Today I brought home zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, green beans, and broccoli. Some of the best tasting produce has been consumed in that time. I have learned many valuable tips, tricks, and new ideas. Getting to spend time in nature with great peeps is the best life IMO

It's been a few since I have posted and that's mainly as we were pretty much grounded due to the wildfire smoke last week and personal things had me all MEH earlier this week. The jungle is thriving as I'd water later at night when the air quality was better-ish.

We already talked about this on my personal page but I felt the love needed sharing with everyone!! I've actually been making my own chocolate syrup for years and can't remember the last time I bought a bottle. It's easy to make the only thing I never liked was the amount of sugar you had to use. I've been researching how to accomplish things with other sweetener sources the best I can. I have a type 1 brittle diabetic grandchild and an eldest child who opts to not eat processed sugars. I myself am a type 2 diabetic who won't give up her sweets but can be smarter about it. Like this recipe for chocolate syrup. Y'all it's amazefookinballs and will need minimal tweaking tbh. I was a silly goose and used my special dark cocoa powder for the first test run and WOOMOFOINGHOO that it was successful!! It took less than 10 minutes to make, will last 2-3 months properly refrigerated, and has simple ingredients. You'll never go back to store bought...

Mostly "normal" yard work around here today. I did harvest what blueberries were ready and I'll enjoy them on some corn flakes tomorrow. Found my siding clips and used some jewelry making wire to get my two new gifted signs up.

Ignore the weeds, I'll get them this weekend. I am beyond excited about this asparagus bed. Lots of new spears throughout so I truly can't complain for it being their technical first year!!
