The best pharmacy care is found at your local pharmacy. You have likely heard us say “we cannot fill this medication because we are not being paid for the cost of the medication.” Now, thanks to the legislature, including our own Representative Roy Daryl Adams, and Governor Landry, House Bill 1236 will offer access to your local pharmacy at no elevated cost being passed on to patients. The legislation is aimed at protecting independent pharmacies by standardizing the reimbursements pharmacies get from pharmacy benefit managers, or PBMs.

We look forward to Gov. Landry signing the bill and continuing the transparency he set in place.
