I'm a Jersey girl through and through, born and raised nearby in Howell and now happily settled in Jackson, NJ, where I run Fat Bird Florals & Gifts. I love to learn, read, write, create, cook, and live fully right here at home. I'm endlessly curious about the world and enjoy digging into all kinds of topics. As the only child in a multi-racial family, my upbringing sparked a lifelong interest in
questions of place, home, identity, and connection. Growing up a little different from those around me taught me to value and celebrate what makes each person unique, and it fueled my appetite for understanding cultures and stories from near and far. These days, that curiosity shows up in flowers, plants, and thoughtful gifts. I find real satisfaction in working with natural materials like arranging blooms, putting together meaningful pieces, and bringing a bit of beauty and intention into everyday life. I started this small business to give my creations an outlet beyond my own space, and to share them with others who appreciate handmade, heartfelt details. You're welcome to join along — whether you're local to Jackson or just passing through.
