Hello there! My name is Mary Margaret, and I am the artist behind Should Could Wood and all that you see here. My fiery passion for pyrography (wood-burning) began years ago after failing to find the perfect, unique gift for a friend of mine. After weeks of searching, I decided to make my own gift. I chose to try my hand at pyrography, and I haven’t put my soldering iron down since. Over the years

, my love for wood and working with my hands has grown from all the custom requests and free-hand designs I’ve dabbled in. Although creating my own, personal work is fun, my heart lies most in custom orders. I love making someone’s vision come to life and creating a piece that will hang in their home for years to come. The name “Should Could Wood” came about shortly after I started this (at the time) meager hobby. Since I offer custom pieces, I get a lot of "you should do this..." and "Could you make that?" All the requests over the years in tandem with my love of the simplistic nature of all things wooden just came together..... and I like to rhyme.
