💙 A little perspective from someone on the other side of the price tag...

Have you ever picked something up in a vendor mall and thought, "They probably only paid a few dollars for this!"? Sometimes that's true... sometimes it isn't. But there's so much more to the story.

Every item represents time, effort, and expenses long before it reaches the shelf. We spend hours searching for unique pieces, pay for gas to travel, carefully clean and sanitize them, wash, repair, research, test, price, and tag them.

Then we transport everything to our booths and keep them stocked.
And the sale price isn't pure profit. We pay booth rent, commissions to the vendor mall, supplies, cleaning products, utilities, fuel, and yes—we also pay taxes on our earnings (bet you didn’t think about federal/state taxes)

Before I became a vendor, I caught myself thinking the same way. Now I understand that I'm not just paying for the item—I'm paying for the time, care, and work that made it available for me to find.

The next time you shop small or buy from a vendor mall, know that your purchase supports someone's hard work, not just the price on the tag. ❤️
