So I’ve just now decided, I’m going to start a company solely surrounding sustainability. Of all aspects. Clothing, food, building materials, toys, furniture, etc. Corporate America is all about just throwing s**t out and buying new, while families can barely afford places to live or food to eat, if at all.
I know that this is not a new issue by any means, but ignorance really is bliss. As I’m more and more exposed to all of the injustices, the more pi**ed off I get. Ugly, angry crying while working at Home Depot because I just had to throw out 6 carts of perfectly good and healthy plants into a trash chute. I don’t understand how more people aren’t getting more pi**ed off at this and those who are, aren’t doing s**t about it. Once again, I know it’s easier said than done, people have their own lives and barely have time to so anything for themselves anymore, but doing something is better than doing nothing and if everyone does their part, it would make all the difference.
So I’m asking for help. A lot of details need to be planned and worked out, it would most likely be a non-profit organization. It will take a long time that’s why it needs to start RIGHT NOW. I would need a LOT of people to get involved, even those who only have a few hours a week, those hours count. I know it will be hard, but I’m committed and I need to find others who would be as well. Obviously it’s not something I can do all by myself but little ol me is going to do SOMETHING. I’m asking for ideas, volunteers, people of different knowledge, skill sets and passions.
Stay tuned, I’m going to create a page on my website for people to sign up, brainstorm, share ideas and all of that. All ideas are good ones to be considered. Keep any negativity to yourself, we don’t need it. We’re interested in helping people, our dying planet, and failing country.
My vision is that it would be something that could be expanded into most all aspects of life. Whether it’s starting from scratch or working with pre-existing sustainable organizations. And then to make said resources available across the country.
