This beauty is from reclaimed cherry as well as African blackwood, purpleheart, bloodwood, maple, oak, and yellowheart. One of the more complicated builds I've done so far.
6.5x14, 10 lugs, Dunnett 'Beertap' style throwoff, Puresound 'Twisted' snare wires, Slingerland style lugs, 2.3mm triple fl**ge rims.
Roundover-out/45-in top edge, counter cut 45s bottom edge.
Danish oil outside and in with shellac and wax paste protecting the outside.
This is a thick shell with tons of woody tone. It's moderately dry and has a fierce cross stick.

Grunge drum- this was a boring, mediocre drum to start with. Reworked the bearing edges, took off the old wrap and made a "grunge" finish, polished up the chrome, some phospher bronze style wires, fresh heads and it looks and sounds 1000 times better. Have an old drum that you want to bring back to life?
