ISLE FARM AND FLEA MARKET will be BACK in downtown Isle in the Muni Parking Lot starting May 1st. Like the name says, it will be both farmer's market and flea market.
The City of Isle is making the asphalt lot available. Vendors need to sign up in advance through the City. We will post the appropriate paperwork here on this page or you can stop by Isle City Hall and pick it up.
You can apply for one time $20, six months for $150 or $300 for one year. Vendor spots will be designated 10 x 10 spaces. Availability is Friday and Saturdays 8am to 8pm. First come first serve so sign up early!
Vendors will be responsible for their own licensure, insurances and sales tax reportings. If this location gets sold out, another location may be offered by the City.
Once approved, the City will provide each vendor with a permit that must be displayed at their booth at all times.
Permits can NOT be shared or transferred or sub-letted. Questions? PM us here or call the City of Isle at 320.676.3641. PLEASE SHARE, thank you.

Dear Isle farm & flea Market shoppers and vendors - after much thought, the IFFM is not going to have market days on Saturdays at 243 Isle Street for a while. Countless citizens in Isle, and businesses in downtown Isle, really wanted a flea market, and also to have a farmers market downtown too. The City of Isle ran vendor ads too.

When we first opened in May this year, we had quite a few vendors. And the shoppers were increasing too. We were excited! Then vendors found another location outside of Isle and pretty soon we had no vendors except our core group of three. We are not giving up however! The economy of downtown Isle is too important to me/us. I have an accounting business in the City of Isle and want every business, big or small, to succeed. Our hope is that we can all join forces in the future and help everyone. We thank the many folks who encouraged us to forge ahead. We hope to try another run in the Fall of 2017, and again in 2018. Stop and say hi when you see us mowing the lot. :-)

Thank You All !

The "Pickle Law" in Minnesota aka the Cottage Food Producer Laws can be found at the following web site, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. The reason to become registered as a cottage food producer is so you can sell your home canned or home baked or home made food items at any Flea Market or Farmer's Market. This site will explain. It's free is you sell less than $5000 a year in home made items. Larger volume vendors have to pay a fee to be registered. Large or small, you renew each year. PM or contact us here on Facebook if you have questions. http://www.mda.state.mn.us/cottagefood

With the passage of the 2015 cottage food law the Minnesota legislature made changes to Minnesota statute 28A.15 dealing with exempt food sales.
