Harman - PRO Partner

We caught up with Harman at InfoComm 2026 to walk through the first major expansion of the BSS Soundweb Omni lineup since launch, and it is a big one!

New additions include an updated 660 encoder/decoder with power injection up to 100 watts, a streamlined encoder/decoder for straightforward audio and video transport, a USB 2.0 AV over IP device for USB peripherals, and wall plate versions for clean installs. A universal mount kit covers under-table, wall, and pole mounting across all new units.

The 330 encoder/decoder rounds things out with H.264 and H.265 for long-distance streaming, and a new rack mount kit holds up to 10 units in a single chassis with active cooling for high-density installs.

Yamaha - Quick Take

We stopped by the Yamaha booth at InfoComm 2026 for a look at their Commercial Installation Solutions Gen 2 lineup, and there is a lot to cover!

On the DSP side, Yamaha is debuting two new DME series units. The DME 3 is a 16x16 Dante-enabled DSP and the DME 5 steps up to 64x64 Dante, both with analog I/O, flexible expansion, segmented network connections, and native USB audio.

The new XMS Series power amplifiers come in eight configurations across four-channel and eight-channel versions from 600W to 2400W, with Dante and non-Dante options. The standout feature is Power Sharing, which lets you custom configure power delivery per channel and mix high and low impedance speaker systems on the same amp at the same time.

Tying it all together is the Provision Air software platform for DSP configuration and custom control panel design, plus the new TDC10 10-inch touchscreen controller.

A seriously impressive ecosystem!

DB Technologies - Quick Takes

We caught up with Scott Thompson from DB Technologies at InfoComm 2026 and they have a lot to celebrate! Their VIO L1608 just took home the Best Show Award for Live Event Product from BravoPubs, and it is easy to see why.

The VIO L1608 is a double 8-inch, three-way tri-amp line array speaker that has been turning heads since its debut at NAMM earlier this year. At just 47 pounds and capable of hitting 139 dB, it is a serious box in a surprisingly manageable package. Live sound companies have been taking notice and product has been moving fast since it hit the market in the first half of 2026.

Whether you are talking touring, install, or anything in between, the VIO L1608 is making a real impact across the industry. Congrats to the DB Technologies team on the award and a fantastic InfoComm 2026!

We stopped by the Shure booth at InfoComm 2026 to check out the brand new Intellimix Bar Pro, and it is loaded!

The Intellimix Bar Pro features the patented Intellimix View Camera Array, a four-element optical endpoint array with telephoto and wide angle cameras working together for a polished conference experience. Paired with a new microphone array exclusive to this product and AI-powered features like AI Noise and AI Verb, remote participants get incredibly clear, intelligible audio.

On the platform side, it is an Android-based MTR built on MDEP, Microsoft's Device Ecosystem Platform, so you can manage it like a Windows device with tools like Intune and full enterprise security. A touch panel rounds it all out for seamless meeting controls.
