A rag style quilt with matching pillow 🪡

Oops I sorta forgot this page existed but anyways check out the repairs I did on this quilt!

Read below for details!

This quilt is really special to me because my mom made it for me probably around 20 years ago when I was just a kid and it's a big part of the reason I sew and quilt today. Over the years it had gotten in pretty bad shape so I took it apart, machine darned the smaller holes and put patches over the bigger holes. Then I replaced the batting (which was also looking pretty rough) and put it back together. I tied it instead of quilting it because that's what my mom did when she made it. (Fun fact, it's been missing all of it's original ties for the majority of its life because I yanked them all out as a child.)

This was the first time I've ever repaired a quilt, it was a lot of fun. Thankfully the darning was all basically invisible unless up close and the patches went with the overall theme so it turned out great all things considered.
