Patio Sessions.
We welcome a DJ from the land of bodegas with his deep Brooklyn, NY roots and a generational musical tree holding strong in Duluth MN and the broader northwoods scene. He has helped cultivate, create and preserve a scene thick with culture with music as its backbone and outright foundation.
For over 30 years he has helped and even held up a flame of hope for the ones who refuse the mainstream. And is arguably one of the nicest people in the underground dance music scene
This patio session is a dedication to Luna and its roots. A full moon gathering that spans 32 years with many carrying the torch. That started on the shores of Lake Superior and has since been coast to coast But none such like this man. With full heart and seemingly ease he has hosted and djed some of the best underground shows over the decades the north has to offer. And technically not a full moon (may 31st) this sundown mix and moon shines on this man and as an artist painting like Picasso with his sets and lunar cycles. A Picasso moon if you will.
DJ Path Annu is a man amongst men. Recently going through leg amputation losing family members and friends in a year most would have long given up after. A definition of SISU. And he is a testament of faith in music, vibe, positivity and outright PLUR. This will be a marathon sundown set with over 4 hours to bring us through decades and worlds of music. Let him take you down a path and paint a picture of peace love unity and respect.
Also as we go full circle we are happy to have our opening support for the new generation keeping the vibe alive and thriving here in the north.
DJ Koe has got to be the absolute epitome of a torch bearer. Koe and the Bassline North crew took the PlUR and held it to its utmost standard. And carried the vibes from central Wisco and beyond. Make no doubt, Koe is an absolute beast on the decks and has secured his role in the Midwest dance scene. Already making his wake with original music and sought after DJ sets we are more than happy to have him set up this evening!!
Downtown Bodega does not play politics. We love, laugh, and keep the vibes happening for those who need, want, or support it. We share an alternative. Securing a community for those that don't fit molds or refuse to fit in a box. Join us as we welcome this summer and embrace the future to move forward.
