So… it looks like Northern Lights could be awesome tonight. I don’t see them yet, but solar winds look favorable as well as ovation map. Fingers crossed. I’ll post when I see them.

Northern Lights were out last night and I missed the few bursts, all I saw was a green band. BUT! Special treat, TONIGHT is the the Northern Lights will be out EARLY again!!! Yay. Dress warm, that wind is cold, but you should have a wonderful viewing from 5:30 pm through 9 pm tonight as the Northern Lights should peak with a 5kp early (best time looks like 6 pm). Of course you can stay up later, and this forecast can change. I’ll be at my granddaughters birthday party but I’ll take my equipment so I won’t miss a few good shots. I’ll try to keep you posted. Eyes to the sky everyone. Enjoy! Mark your calendars, those red bars below show that Sat, Mon, Tues and next Friday Dec 22 & 23 they’ll be out a lot. We’re approaching a peak 11 year cycle for Northern Lights, be on the lookout.

I know I’ve been sharing forecasts about Northern Lights but this Thurs & Saturday are a kp5, so it sounds great, but if FRiDAY night is a Kp 7 like they are forecasting, that would be freaking amazing! I won’t be sleeping for a minute! Can’t wait! Fingers crossed.

Busy making my newest “Lakescape” jewelry. They’ll be ready in time for Festival Ironwood Craft Sale and the new Range Art Studio Tour the first weekend in August.
