🥉 Congratulations to Blue Ridge Rails on earning 3rd Place in the 2027 NS Calendar Photo Contest! 🥉

Nathan's photo captured train 740 descending the historic Old Fort Loops in Graphite, NC, in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Earlier this year, we resumed service through the Old Fort Loops after extensive restoration work following Hurricane Helene, and Nathan's photo beautifully captured the return to this iconic stretch of railroad.

📅 The 2027 NS Calendar will be available for purchase in the NS Company Store this December.

As a female business owner, there are moments like this that make me stop and look back at how far we’ve come. What started as a dream has continued to grow into something bigger than I ever imagined, and none of it would be possible without YOU — our customers.

The longest traveled locomotive for our America 250 Locomotive Celebration is Santa Fe 5704, coming all the way from the Southern California Railway Museum. Here it is this evening passing through Landis, NC, just 15 miles from Spencer. Keep an eye out for more locomotives as they travel to Spencer in the coming days!
