Our frame shop is second to none; with 35 years of experience at The University of Iowa Museum of Art, David Dennis has curated, installed, and framed a spectrum of both 2D and 3D works. He also maintains a variety of contacts with conservators if your work is in need of expert restoration. The Chait Galleries Downtown was the first of its kind in the Iowa City area. Originally establish to house the work of Benjamin Chait and a few others, it grew exponentially to include over 100 local and regional artists, along with numerous national and international artists. Located in a historically preserved building built in the late 1800's, the Chait Galleries Downtown is in the heart of a diverse community that strongly supports creativity and the arts. Downtown Iowa City includes many fine restaurants, specialty retail stores, entertainment venues and the vibrant University of Iowa Campus all within walking distance.
