Fall seems to have come very quickly to our little town in southeast Wisconsin. One day it was summer and then all of a sudden it was fall! The leaves are changing, kids are back in school and the local sweet corn wagon has been replaced by the annual pumpkin wagon. So get the kids together and head outside to collect some of those falling leave to make these fun finger puppets!

In the piney woods between Carthage Texas and Logansport Louisiana is an original granite block which marked the U.S. / Republic of Texas boundary. It is dated 1840 but was set in place on April 23, 1841. The surveyors who placed it here traveled an arduous journey from the Gulf of Mexico northward, marking their path by the stars. This is the only international boundary marker known to exist within the U.S., and it is truly a treasure.
