Solo half day session today. Caught 7 nothing big. Water looked good just couldn’t find a big one.

Only two bites and no keepers day one. Today was an excellent day we caught a bunch and culled a couple times to bring 12.69 to the scales. Two fun days on the water with some nice pros. One more day to catch some fish.

It was a rough day for and myself on Sunday at the first derby at DVL. Crazy windy, rain and cold and we just couldn’t figure them out. Congrats to those that did it was definitely earned in this one.

Oh yeah and I had an easy 25 pound carp thumb a jig on the fall. Thought records were falling for a minute. Then I just wanted to see it. Towed the Pro Angler about 100 yards around a big cove.

Mission accomplished. Got my 3 fish limit for 44.5” and the win with big fish of 19.25”. Special thanks to for a great first event and for allowing us easy access to the water. Drop shot and chatter bait in the wind today and I caught 7 total in 5 hrs of fishing. Now I need to back it up tomorrow with for our first event at Diamond Valley. @ Havasu Landing Casino

Busy fishing weekend starts at the kayak derby at Lake Havasu. It’s a little windy but I didn’t drive 2.5 hours for nothing.
