Today is our 10th wedding anniversary. Some people go have romantic dinners and some people spend the day stocking their booths, listing on eBay and painting furniture. We did grab dinner while we were out and about. It was a good day! ❤️

I had gotten an old mirror. I touched up the paint and added some gilding wax but tried not to take away the character. The nice woman who bought it sent me a picture of it in its new home.

May have found a “few” things at a picker’s estate sale this morning. My favorite is the Appalachian Dulcimer. Also found some cool vintage pieces that just need a bit of love, silver jewelry, vintage lamps, lava lamp, collectible toys and some 1st edition Harry Potter books. I love the unorganized, chaotic sales. They always have hidden treasures. 😊

These are some of our first sales from the units we bought last week.
I also included a $20 bill we found as profit. After selling fees, we are at $174.71. We paid $90 for the units. Doesn’t seem like a lot but here’s the thing. I haven’t even listed most of it. We have tons more to sell. Things don’t all sell overnight so we can be getting sales on things we bought several months ago. We are always happy when we can break even on a unit quickly and then just enjoy the profits. Some items get sold on eBay, some on Marketplace and some in our booths. We also donate usable items that we just don’t feel like selling. We try and keep as much as we can out of landfills. No lie, storage units are a bit addicting. I have cleaned out a large unit after working a 12 hour overnight at the hospital. There’s just something invigorating about it!

This is one of my favorite projects that my husband has done. We bought a storage unit with a whole lot of nothing in it. He took this old TV stand and repurposed it. He removed the doors, sanded it down, painted it and added accessories. We had a nice Bunn coffee maker from another unit so we put that in there. It took about 2 months to sell. I hate when his project pieces take a bit to sell. He takes a lot of pride in them and doubts himself when they take a while.

The old fridge is coming along. Jadeite was the color we settled on. It has been cleaned, sanded, first coat of paint and resealed. Can’t wait to get the top back on and see it all done. Pat hasn’t felt the greatest so it’s moving a little slower than we hoped but it will get there. 😊

When I was younger, I had zero interest in antiques. My great grandparents had owned an antique store so we had some in our house. Maybe it’s because I’m on the way to becoming an antique myself but I have fallen in love with them in recent years. They tend to slip through my fingers because I only keep them until they sell. I love the time in between finding them to selling them where I just get to enjoy. These are circa 1880’s. They feel so delicate yet have managed to hang around that long. The only question now is what venue do I sell them on? Booth or online?

In case the neighbors don’t already think we are weird, we decided to blow up the bounce house we found in one of the lockers at 10 pm. 🤦🏻‍♀️
It will need a power wash but it’s in good shape otherwise.
