Global Gifts is a 501c3, nonprofit business committed to creating sustainable economic opportunities and safe
and equitable working conditions for disadvantaged artisans and farmers around the world. From jewelry & home goods to toys and food items, our stores are filled with handmade, one-of-a-kind items from over 40 different countries. Global Gifts' products are Fair Trade which ensures our items have been produced ethically and the artisans have been paid a fair wage. We pay our artisans upfront for our orders, and we only work with vendors and groups who take great care of their artisans. Being a nonprofit, we rely on our volunteers, donors, and customers to help us support our artisan groups with continued orders. Our volunteers assist our small team of staff in keeping our stores open, helping with special events, fundraising, customer service, and spreading the word about fair trade. We achieve our mission by:
- Providing vital, fair income and employment for people of limited opportunity;
- Marketing ethically produced and ethically obtained handmade products;
- Respecting cultural identity and educating the public about the cultures and traditions associated with items we sell; and
