Today’s magic number: 1176. Vintage gear is cool but needs some TLC from time to time. Good thing we have Kevin Silva at Uncle Albert's Amplifiers - the best in the world - to perform his magic.
I had my Marshall amp head serviced by Kevin Silva..I thought he was very knowledgeable, friendly, and I would highly recommend him. Thank you very much Kevin !!!

Great hang with Kevin while dropping off some gear for him to work his magic on. Thanks for the visit, kind Sir!
Hi Kevin! Have you ever worked on one of these? Mine needs a good going over if you're able
Kevin, do you remember the Fender Twin mod you did for me in the 90s? You thought my idea sounded mad, but said you could do it. I had make the Normal Channel and Dirt channel like a Marshall. The Volume on the normal channel was now the Gain k**b for that channel. The Master Volume was now the volume for that drive channel. The Reverb channel was now controlled via the volume for it. No master. And I had you put a fx loop only on that channel. For sparkly fx like chorus and such. So I could leave the chorus on, switch to the Drive channel, and not have to kick off the Chorus. I then used a A/B box. Guitar in, then A and B out to both inputs. Now I have a Channel Switching Fender Twin the the coolest drive channel ever. When I came to pick it up, I didn't think I could get it out of your hands! You had your LP plugged in and was rocking! You were so happy with those mods and had never done them before. It was so amazing! Thank you!
Huge thanks to Mr. Kevin Silva. Took one of my practice amps in to Uncle Albert's that was cutting out. It's a 40W 2 x 8 and about 31 years old. Thanks again for your expertise and quick turnaround. Christmas in July - thank you! Freezer
