Take a moment and think about the last REALLY cringe-y moment you had. 😬

We ALL have those moments. And the more life I live, the more I find that’s okay. And funny. Eventually.

(Pro tip: it’s super helpful to laugh about them and share them with others, so maybe they don’t feel so OUCH 🤕)

Hello we are a small electronics buyback company based out of Lawrence Indiana.

We are looking for someone who is able to dedicate 5 hours a day Monday through Friday(12-5) to be in the office and help with buying electronics.

Job is fairly simple you would need to assist our clients in Quoting and arranging a time for them to come drop off their phone for cash.

This job would be perfect for someone who needs a little extra cash while doing online school/ Or someone who cant work the normal 8 hours.

75% of the job is sitting in the office replying to our customers through facebook/instagram/text/calls.

-Must be able to pass a background check
-Must have reliable transportation
-Conversational spanish is a plus

We’re here on VERY important business today.

📣 And that’s to identify a few of the things in life that are more important to you than your j-o-b or making money.

In order of importance, mine are:
1. Friends
2. Waffles
3. Work

Kidding! For anyone that knows about the important things in life (a.k.a. Parks and Rec trivia), you’ll know that list is stolen straight from the one-and-only Leslie Knope.

Seriously now, mine are:
1. My family 💯
2. Skateboarding 💃💃💃
3. Work 🕵️👨🏻‍💻🤳

Jokes aside, the point of this little exercise is to remind you that even though you may be super focused on your professional goals, it's probably not (or it really shouldn’t be) the most important thing in life.

Take stock of what really matters, and make sure you are giving those things the attention they deserve, too. 😉

Do your thing. Get crazy.

☝️☝️ Words to live by, if you ask me.

But it doesn’t have to be *what* you do. It can be *how* you do it. The *way* you do it. The way you bring *yourself* into it.

So, if you’re stuck in spreadsheets all day, make ‘em bright and fun and pick that font that’s calling to you.

Dance a little when you hear your favorite song in the grocery store.

Put something goofy in the memo line the next time you write a check. (You know, if you still write checks. And if you don’t, there’s plenty of opportunity for awkward emojis on Venmo, too.)

Because here’s the thing: Doing your thing is a good thing. It keeps you anchored. It adds an element of fun. And it shows you have confidence in yourself.

What do you think when you see someone successful? 🥇

For the longest time, I just focused on what “successful” looked like. Or the facade, anyway. The snapshot at the top of the mountain, if you will. But… the thing we don’t often stop to consider is the journey it took to get there.

Steve Jobs said something that really clicked with me, “If you really look closely, most overnight successes took a long time.”

It’s obvious when you stop to think about it, but how many of us really do that? It’s much more common to see someone successful and to feel intimidated. Like it’s not realistically something we could ever do.

I have news: It really does take a lot of work to make something successful. And most good things are worth working at. It’s not always pretty and fun. Even if all we tend to see are the bright, shiny aspects that come with “success.”

You watch The Office right? RIGHT? Well, if you don’t, I’ll enlighten you—but if you do, you’ll likely know what we’re talking about.

There’s a scene where Andy’s in the office talking to the cameraman and says, “I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good ol’ days… before you’ve actually left them.” (insert semi-emotional stare and awkward fidgeting)

I don’t know about you, but I can think of so many moments that were just *the best* but I had no idea at the time… Ya know, the ones where you’re like THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN or MAN, I WISH I COULD STILL DO THAT! (Especially given the past year in quarantine… I didn’t realize how much I loved going to the movies or out to restaurants until I couldn’t!)

So, instead of sitting around feeling semi-emotional and fidgety about it, I’m going to try something else…

I’m picking a thing I LOVED from my past (or used to do all the time) and bringing it back.

Know what that means?

Today you’ll find me at a swingset, trying to go so high that I might launch into outer space. (No? Just me? 🙈)
