Slowing Down Is never The Right Answer
We are small Internet-based business that was started in 2015 to sell a Steel Challenge dry fire training system that I developed a couple of years ago. Since then we have been slowly moving to expand what we offer, but always focused solely on competitive Steel Challenge shooting.
In addition to the dry fire training system, we offer private & small group training classes focused on becoming a better Steel Challenge shooter. Late last year Ken published the first shooting training book dedicated to the Sport as well and starting in February 2018 he will be airing a weekly podcast to answer shooter questions, discuss relevant topics and evaluate gear & products. He also writes a regular column for USPSA’s ‘Front Sight” magazine called “The Steel Challenge Shooting Corner” where he discusses strategy & techniques.
When he decided to start shooting Steel Challenge full-time he quickly realized he needed a better way to do dry fire training if he was going to progress. Since the 8 stages of this sport don’t change he knew if he could come up with a way to train on each stage regularly he would see rapid progression.
Using the ‘reduced target size’ technique for enabling the same target area presentation for a target but at shorter distances, he developed a set of vinyl banners to represent each stage that you could use to practice with but at only 10’. This allows shooters to practice in almost any room in their house or apartment. This system is still the only dry fire training system on the market dedicated to the sport of Steel Challenge
