In the early morning hours of December 11, Jefferson County Music was broken into and robbed. The theives stole 9 high dollars guitars, 2 amplifiers, ruined a guitar and banjo, and broke the glass out of the front door. I would like to thank all of our friends and customers for their concern...

We've had several people ask if we would start a go-fund-me page to help cover the cost of stolen and damaged inventory. (We can't afford to buy insurance because we had a slip and fall lawsuit several years ago and the insurance premiums are astronomical.) We lost $4800 in inventory plus a $345 piece of glass for the door. Customers and friends have been very generous in the past few days and we only need $3000 more to cover our losses. I would like to thank all of our friends and customers for their concern for Steve and I, and for all of the leads we were given to follow trying to locate the stolen guitars and amps. In the early morning hours on December 11th, the music store was broken into and robbed. The thieves broke out the front door glass, and stole $4603.00 in merchandise. Six Michael Kelly guitars were taken, 2 Cort guitars were taken, a Ventura V-25 red was taken, and a VHT 50 watt bass amp was stolen. The Michael Kelly guitars taken were as follows: Hybrid Special, 1955 Hybrid Tele, 1953 Eclipse Finish Tele, Blake Shelton Signature Black LP, Blake Shelton Signature Camo LP, and a Blake Shelton Patriot Black LP. The Cort guitars taken were a M200 Walnut Stain, and a MGM style carved top used guitar.
